Overview

Discover three cities in one day on a full-day tour of  Segovia, Ávila and Toledo from Madrid. You will depart early and head for Segovia, where you will start with a guided tour accompanied by our official guide, taking us around Segovia’s historic centre. Find out why this city is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will stroll through the city’s main squarePlaza Mayor, beholding monuments such as the aqueduct and the cathedral and we will enter the former royal palace and fortress – the Alcázar Real.

Then you will leave for Ávila. Visit the Ávila’s historic centre and discover the legacy of this city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Be amazed by its fascinating history!

The route will continue along a stretch of the famous Walls of Ávila. How has it been preserved to the present day? You will reveal these questions on the thick wall that surrounds the city’s entire historic centre as we head toward the Roman necropolis.

Then you will make a stop to have lunch in a local restaurant in the old town, where you will enjoy a typical “Iberian Traditional Meal” You will continue the trip heading for Toledo, your third stop of the day and our third city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Toledo has a long-standing Christian, Jewish and Muslim tradition. Therefore, it is also known as the city of three cultures. You will not only visit the most representative places of each one of these cities on this tour, but you will also visit some precious hidden nooks and crannies only known to a few locals. You will enter a monastery of nuns, where you will taste typical Toledan marzipan, the jewel in the crown of the city’s pastries. The nuns will show you a recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. At the end of your tour (the experience lasts around 11 hours), you will return to the centre of Madrid in a comfortable minibus, where your guide will be able to recommend things to do during the rest of your stay.

Have fun and feel unique in your experience in a Premium Small Group tour. Enjoy this cities with us.

Highlight of our family trip!

Our family took a short trip to Spain, primarily Madrid, for only 4 days and we spent one of the days doing this tour. At the end of the trip when i asked the rest of my family what their favorite part of the trip was, all of them said this day trip and i made it 4/4! Our tour guide, Tamar, was simply amazing. She was authentic, passionate, and knowledgeable about the places we visited on the tour. Our driver, Suso, was also delightful. Would definitely consider doing this trip if considering any of these 3 cities. I am glad we saw all three.

Great trip of three beautiful cities with Nacho and Jaume

Great visit. Nacho the guide was simply amazing. Knowledgeable and full of energy. The day trip is intense - you will walk over 10km and in cities with quite a few hills. But everything is stunning and well worth a visit thank you Nacho for such a informative trip. Jaume (driver) was also excellent and super pleasant.

Long day but great way to see these cities

Yes, it's a12 hour tour. Nacho was a really great tour guide and Enrique a very safe driver. The van is a bit cramped. If you are a larger person I'd skip this tour. The walking part of the tour is on cobblestone sometimes on steep streets. If you can't walk, don't do this tour. You get to see all the highlights of these cities and the history as well. I liked Segovia the best, but it was awesome to see all 3 cities. Lots of restroom stops and lunch included. And cava at the end! A great day from Madrid.

It was awesome

The tour was awesome. I learned a lot about the history of each city. Its so organized and not tiresome like other tours considering its a whole day affair. Went to Segovia first and did the Alcazar tour. We even had a mini hike going down the stairs to get back to the bus. We then went to the nxt city Avila, and saw the city walls which was pretty neat. There was no free time there, but had lunch outside of the walls. Full course meal, from primary to dessert. It was great. We had time to do siestas in our mini shuttle bus, which was real comfortable. And then last was Segovia. It was great. Tamar and I forgot the drivers name really took care of us. Our tour guide even had Marzapan treats for us. We went back to the office and had champagne. The office is right in front of Mercado San Miguel. I highly recommend.

Great day trip!

Was a very easy paced day as a lot of the time was driving between the cities. Some moderate walking but well worth it. Our guide Nacho was absolutely amazing and we even had a group toast to end the day.
