Overview

The first stop on our guided tour will be the beautiful museum city of Toledo, declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. One of the oldest cities in Europe with buildings blending architectural styles, including Arabic, Gothic, Mudéjar, Renaissance and Baroque.

The city itself is like an unbounded museum that hosts some of Spain’s key monuments. Toledo is also known as the city of three cultures, as for a long period Christians, Muslims and Jews lived there together in peace within its walls.
Its old Gothic and Renaissance architecture, and the narrow streets and alleys, along with the well-preserved state, led to its classification as a national monument, and as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

Discover the magnificent Cathedral of Toledo on a guided tour accompanied by our official guide. Wonder at the beauty enclosed within its walls. Learn about the history and the arts of this unique cathedral. You will delight in the best views of the city from the bell tower of Los Jesuitas Church.
You will end the tour of Toledo revealing one of Toledo’s magical hidden gems. You will enter a monastery of cloistered nuns, where you will taste typical Toledan marzipan, the jewel of the city’s pastries.
The nuns will show you a recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation for centuries.

The tour also includes free time for you to explore the rest of the city on your own, where you can return to places you have already visited or gain free entry to other sites with tickets that we provide you, including the Salvador Church and the Colegio de las Doncellas Nobles (College of Noble Daughters). If you would prefer to just sit back and enjoy a beer or eat on a nice terrace you will also have time to do so and your guide will recommend some good local or tourist places.

At the end of your tour of Toledo (the experience lasts around 11 hours), you will return to the centre of Madrid in a comfortable minibus, where your guide will be able to recommend things to do during the rest of your stay.

Have fun and feel unique in your experience in a Premium Small Group tour. Enjoy your vacation with us.

Unique Toledo

A charming walled city, with winding streets and quaint shops. The Cathedral is beyond gorgeous. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate.

Tour cancelled

Cannot rate this tour as it was cancelled by the tour company. I wish they gave us the option to reschedule it to another day instead of asking us to join another tour that was multi area

Not As Advertised; Not Full Day, No Cathedral Included

Tour was supposed to go from 8:30am to 7:30pm. Left on time, arrived in Toledo and toured the city with a guide from around 10am until noon. Since the guide had to repeat all comments in both english and spanish perhaps the tour would have even been shorter if it was just in english. At noon we were told we had the rest of the day to ourselves and the van would be picking us up at 5. Late afternoon we were refused entrance to the cathedral since we didn't have a separate ticket. At that point, there was no guide to contact and the line to purchase a ticket was VERY LONG. We did not see the cathedral. At 5 the van picked us up and returned us to the We Madrid office at 5:50...not 7:30 as advertised. We were given Cava and chocolates. Normally I would have complained and asked for a refund but I was recovering from food poisoning I picked up the night before. I didn't have the energy to complain. At least the Trip Advisor community is now warned to not waste your time and money on this company.

Great tour of Toledo

I prefer the small group type of tours and We Madrid sure seems to be the operator to go with. The van was small but spacious, plenty of leg room for my 6'2" frame. My guide Ignatio was great, very well spoken and willing to answer any questions that we had. Our tour was on both Spanish and English so there was occasional standing around waiting around for all involved to get the info in their language. Interestingly our guide referred to the English part of the tour as his (mi familia) family and the Spanish as his boys (mi chicos), quite endearing. I would totally use We Madrid for my future tours in Spain.

Tamar was our guide for a day. She gave us loads of informations about each monument... Toledo is beautiful city with amazing history. Tour is perfectly timed to hear all history from guide and then to see each of monuments on your own and to have a lunch. Be prepared to walk up and down the hill for few hours
