Medina Azahara guided tour

Take this guided tour to learn about Medina Azahara: the Shinning City, where the caliphs of Al-Andalus lived and received the most important ambassadors of the world.

The Shining City is World Heritage from 2018. Its story begins with the designation of Abd al-Rahman III as the first caliph of Córdoba. Aiming to show the rest of the world his new status, he ordered the construction of a palatial city eight kilometres away from the capital.

We will take the daily bus from Córdoba at 10.15h and you will enjoy a 90 minute guided tour in the archeological Umayyad site.

Then we will visit the Medina Azahara museum, where the vision of the complex will be completed, and we’ll discover, for example, the famous Cervatillo.
