Overview

Come and enjoy the newest and safest model of Segway, the “Genuine i2 Segways“. Always in the safety hands of your guide, in this experience you will discover how to use your authentic Segway in a magical atmosphere that only the Madrid skyline can create.

Your tour will be adapted to your skills levels. If this is your first time, you need only 5 to 10 minutes to become an expert.

After the training, we will show you the Madrid you want to see, including the main sights and secret nooks known only to the locals, such as the vantage point of the Mirador del Factor, the background will be the Royal Palace, which is always so impressive in the eyes of visitors and which once housed the Spanish monarchy.

The tour will continue to the Almudena Cathedral. We will visit the temple and discover that it holds the title of being the last Spanish cathedral to be completed, and is one of the few cathedrals in Spain to suffer the ravages of the civil war, before being finally consecrated less than 25 years ago.

The guided tour continues towards the Temple of Debod, a gift to Spain from the Government of Egypt in 1961. Behold the panoramic view of Madrid from the temple, built in the 2nd century BC, before heading to the Plaza de Isabel II (also known as Plaza de Opera).

Observe the neoclassical façade of the Teatro Real, a style giving a cultural touch to many parts of Madrid and later enjoy the most authentic Madrid by wandering through the Barrio de las Letras (neighborhood of letters), where we will discover the Plaza Santa Ana, the street environment huertas and the house of Cervantes.

Have fun and feel unique in your experience in a Premium Small Group tour. Enjoy this day with us.

Great tour and great guide!

Signed up for this tour last minute and glad I did. In total transparency our 1600 tour did not start until 1630 but the owner of the service was very accommodating and made our wait very pleasant (drinks, great conversation). I consider this an added bonus! Our guide Carlos was excellent and took great care of us. My wife had some trouble driving the Segway but Carlos was able to assist her the entire tour. The tour was fun and laid back. The guide knowledgable. The sites were interesting. Definitely a fun experience!

Excellent way to begin the First day in Madrid

My son and I just completed the Segway tour of Madrid. We landed from New York in the morning and thought this was a great way to cure jet lag. Yanny, our tour guide, did not disappoint. He was energetic and friendly with a vast knowledge of historical points of interest in the city. I highly recommend this tour as a fun and informative way of learning more about the beautiful city of Madrid.

Lots of fun but not totally what was advertised

We paid (45€ per person) for an extended Segway Tour with Me, which is outsourced to a near by Segway provider. The e-bike tours seem to be run by We but not the Segway. Our experience of the staff was good. Relaxed, friendly people. The tour guide was a really nice, a considerate guy. However, his detail was a little brief/minimal whenever we stopped. This was disappointing as we felt a small tour would offer so much more detail about the history, architecture and beauty of this lovely city. In fairness, our tour guide did have two (one a self proclaimed ‘experienced’ Segway rider) tricky, opinionated tourists in our group of five. The tricky two wanted us to go faster, different routes, exhibited impatience with traffic and at one point disappeared. Regardless, you never know who you’ll get to share a tour with so, even though unfortunate for us, the tour guide handled them well enough and maybe that was why other areas were not as detailed. We stopped at various points to have photo opportunities (Metropolis, Palacio de Cristal, El Retiro Park, Royal Palace of Madrid etc.) but the advertised stop at the Cathedral and Crypt did not happen. The tour detail says the cathedral access and crypt tickets are within the price of the tour. On querying this afterwards, We tours admitted you don’t need tickets for the cathedral or crypt so you aren’t gaining anything extra within the price of the Segway tour. This is something they need to change on their advertising as a) we didn’t do it on the extended tour and b) the cathedral and crypt are free to enter anyway whether you are alone or on a tour. The experience was fun. Being on a Segway is fun and a first for us. We had helmets provided but no water (as advertised). There are other tour providers who offer Segway tours and they appear a little more together, as in helmeted with fluro vest, which adds to the feeling that safety is paramount when in a very busy city on main roads. A nice touch at the end of the tour is a glass of bubbles before departing into the bustling streets of a city that keeps giving.
