From the 16th century until the 18th century, Seville was the most important city in the world. It was considered the “entrance of America”. When the conquerors went to the Atlantic and Pacific areas and engaged in commercial activities, this city was effectively capital of the world; with everything from America to Europe and from Europe to America passing through the Port of Seville.
