This is a private walking tour of the historical center of Florence, which has the aim to give you a general and orienting idea of the two most important central districts of my town.
We start in the religious district, where we can admire (external) the unique Duomo complex, with the Cathedral surmounted by the Renaissance dome by Brunelleschi, and the Romanesque Baptistry, dedicate to St. the Baptist, famous for its Gates of Paradise.
After, we go on along the main ancient street and in a few minutes, we reach the political area, seat of the Signoria palace and the Orcagna Loggia, housing some remarkable statues. Just aside, the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important paintings museum of the world, housing the main collection by Botticelli and the Sacred Family by Michelangelo.
The last part of our tour focuses on the Old Bridge, lined with goldsmiths’ shops, one the best places from where to take wonderful pictures, and on the popular Wild Boar, a not-to-miss photostop place!
Our walk will end in the Republic square, symbol of the 19th century urban changes. Enjoy this tour with us.
