Accompanied by an official guide we will uncover the beauty of the millenary city of Granada, where we will be visiting its most emblematic monuments, reminiscent of this long past. The monuments we are touring include the residence of the ancient emirs, the Alhambra, which harbors as much history as legends from its inhabitants. This monumental complex includes El Generalife, summer residence of the sultans, the nasrid palaces in its entirety and La Alcazaba, which served as the military zone of the citadel.
Once we are finished, we will proceed to go down to the city through the Puerta de la Justicia, and we will continue our visit through the old medieval entrance that led to the heart of the city, where our route will follow by visiting the old lumberjacks square (now named Plaza Nueva), taking a glimpse at the facade of the REAL CHANCILLERÍA, highest Court of Appeal of the Crown of Castille. We will also be seeing the exterior zone of Santa Ana, built over the ancient Almanzora mosque, which houses an exquisite Mudejar roof.
We’ll go into the lower Albayzin and walk through their teahouses; finally we will continue the tour walking by the old silk market, the Alcaicería, also visiting the exteriors of the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral of Granada, to end up tasting a good refreshment with one of the famous tapas of our city.
In summer we recommend wearing fresh clothes, comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen.
In winter it can get quite cold, so it is recommended to bring a coat and possibly a raincoat as well.
You will receive the exact meeting details when the tour reservation is confirmed.
Because of Alhambra tickets policy, once the tickets are bought they cannot be refunded. In very rare and exceptional cases they allow one name modification. Enjoy this day with us.
