Universidad de Coimbra

Met with Gustavo at the entrance of the University. Communication with them for the meeting was adequate. He was pleasant, polite and relaxed for the tour. The key issue for us asking for the tour was limited time and wanting access to visit the library. Getting in late in the afternoon we were able to immediately visit the library and subsequently visit the Royal Palace and the Chapel which was the spectacular. The guide had an abundance of historical information but gauged the amount he provided based on our interest appropriately. The tour of the University was as much about seeing the University as getting an introduction into Portugal’s history.

It is a crowded destination and it was really nice to have a private tour! Our guide was a senior at the university and spoke English very well. Overall great tour for us and our 2 friends.

Amazing private tour with Gonçalo, who seemed to know every detail about the place, both current and historical, and to be ready for questions of all sorts; he never failed to answer mine, regardless of topic. He also showed attentiveness to my personal interests by giving me time to check out the small temporary exhibition in the library while we were there and by taking me to the math building in the end after I showed interest in it. I would never have had such a rich and instructive experience just visiting on my own and looking around. It's also very convenient not to have to worry about tickets and visiting hours. Highly recommended.

Gonçalo é um excelente guia, é pontual , atencioso e conhece muito bem o ambiente da universidade, fomos a locais que não iríamos se não estivéssemos com ele
