There's nothing you get from this tour that you can't easily do yourself with a train ticket and a good guidebook. Also, entry fees to the Castle and the Cathedral are NOT included, and the guide incorrectly suggested we couldn't get in. (We did on our own.) The constant switching back-and-forth between Spanish and English in the middle of descriptions of sites was annoying. Other things you may not expect--no bathrooms or eating on the bus--take care of that before you get on. Positives--the bus is very nice otherwise and the staff is friendly. But we were disappointed.
It was very good tour.Segovia and Avila is a perfect way to spend a day outside big city.I like it very much despite the fact it was a rainy day.Thank Angie-tour guide for a intereting day.She is very knowledgeable.I learn few things about the place.Lunch was very good as well.Especially roast pork and segoviana cake and wine.Highly recommended.

Great stress-free tour!
My mother and I decided to purchase a Segovia tour and later added Avila to our day. Our tour guide was Angie, super sweet guide, very friendly and informative. We had a rainy day in both places, but we enjoyed it regardless!
We chose to take a bus tour because we had a very short trip and wanted something easy to do. We did not have a ton of time to figure out the metro and deal with all the traveling on our own in a new city. Getting to the meeting point was simple and everything was very timely.
The walking tour was very pleasant, Angie made sure to point out landmarks that would help us return to our meeting point. When switching from Spanish to English, the English translation was a little too fast. Either way for me it didn’t matter since I am bilingual, but just for future reference for english speaking tourists.
Overall enjoyed it, the bus ride was nice downtime. There was water leaking inside the bus when it was raining. But Angie and the driver noticed it immediately and wrote to their supervisor (I’m assuming) about the issue.
The "tourist bus stop" doesn't actually exist - the queuing spot is on one side plaza espana, closer to Gran Via than Princessa, where the tour buses are parked - the actual bus we took was parked under the flyover further away. A few queues will form for the various combinations to Toledo, Segovia, Avila etc. They could have used better signage (i.e. actually ANY signage would be better since none was used) to reduce the anxiety of missing the tour bus - it's not actually clear who the tour guide is since the yellow t-shirt isn't particularly eye-catching (this is why we deduct one star from the rating). That said, for the actual tour, the tour guide (Alex i think) was excellent and humorous. We went for the Segovia + Avila combination, but it was a bit rushed - there was barely enough time for us to hunt for a Cuchinillo restaurant and finish it properly - we had to takeaway the desert in the end, and didn't finish the second main dish. Our tour was on time, and we got 2 hours in Segovia (for lunch and sightseeing) and only 45 minutes free time in Avila - enough to see only one place each more or less. If you want to see both places, this is a great tour, but if you actually want to enjoy Segovia, the time wasted traveling to Avila is just too much. If you have time, split the visits to two separate days - one day for Segovia and half day for Avila.
Segovia and Avila were both amazing and our guide was excellent. He gave all of the information and tours in both English and Spanish, and it did not seem to be an issue for anybody. This tour was definitely a highlight of my time in Spain.
