“Look if I’m from Triana that being on Calle Sierpes I consider myself a foreigner”
As we cross the Isabel II bridge, we enter one of the best-known neighborhoods in Seville, the Triana neighborhood. Triana is one of the best-known neighborhoods in Seville, one of which best represents the essence of the city and the people of Seville. A marine neighborhood, with a flamenco tradition and gypsy roots, the birthplace of great artists and pottery. Separated by the center of Seville by the Guadalquivir river and linked by the mythical Triana bridge.
We will start our tour in the so representative bridge of Seville. Once we have finished crossing the Triana bridge (Puente de Isabel II), we will visit one of the picturesque chapels of the city that houses the figure of the Virgen del Carmen to receive all visitors. We will discover one of the most important squares in this neighborhood as the Plaza del Altozano with great tributes to figures from the world of flamenco and bullfighting.
We will taste a large number of products that appear in the famous food market. We will continue our way until we reach one of the most hidden places in Seville: the Callejón de la Inquisición and the Castillo de San Jorge that served for centuries as a prison for the Spanish Inquisition.
Within the Triana neighborhood we will discover the most authentic and traditional streets, such as Betis Street or Pureza Street. Houses full of colors, churches, ceramic plaques that pay homage to important figures from all over the city, the famous Parish of Santa Ana, the Chapel of the Mariners, home of the Virgen de la Esperanza de Triana …
What can we find on Betis street? Why is the Virgen de la Esperanza de Triana so important for a Triana? Where did the famous Alley of the Inquisition take us? Thousands of questions that will be answered on our tour.
Let yourself fall in love with the streets, the atmosphere and the people that make up this very authentic neighborhood! You will discover all the customs and places in our tour of The Charm of Triana for about two hours. Enjoy this tour with us.
